TED Talk 3: Daniel Pink

For our third TED Talk, we watched Daniel Pinks presentation on how the right brained people of the world will ultimately define society in the new conceptual age. What I took away from this video is that people who can think outside the box will create this new age of conceptual thinking. His technique was not ignite and was sort of Pecha Kucha. I say sot of because it was a combination of the two because he shot out facts time after time that kept getting more inspirational and emotional. The effective techniques that make this possible is that he never stopped and always had a new idea that was incredibly motivational and supported by facts. What matters in the video is that right brainers will be more helpful to society than left brainers because as technology advances, we will have more and more machines to do the logical work for us. It affects me personally because when I took the test to determine the side of my brain that I use more, I had 52% left brain and 48% right brain. I wonder if this means that I’m not going to be as important to society even though I have only a 2% difference. This also affects the world because it will define what we place our importance on.
