TED Talk 8:

Well, for my final TED Talk, I did one on Julia Sweeney and her letting go of god when two Mormon missionaries came to her door and tried to convert her. She was disgusted by what they had to day and looked at her own religion, Catholicism, and question that. What I took away from this talk is that we need to look at ourselves before we judge others because we may not be so different. Although I don't agree with Julia's sarcasm, I do believe that there is some wisdom in her advice to look at yourself before others. I feel her sarcasm is insulting and the way she speaks to the audience like they are five year olds. Revolting. This Talk could have been so much better if she wasn't making a mockery of religion in general. I am an atheist but this is downright insulting to a person's willingness to put their faith in something. The overall message is good; however, the delivery was not so hot.
